Focus ST on a road trip from DC to Winston-Salem, NC. The little Ford did well on the six hour journey, but it was what I came across when I was down there that made the trip worthwhile. Standing at a urinal at lunch the first day, I saw this sign.

And then there was another similar one at the bar later featuring a gorgeous 911 project car. You have my attention Mr. Sneed. I took a look at their website, read some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and looked for their hours of operation. Open 8am to 7pm Monday through Thursday. Closed Friday through Sunday. Yep, these guys race. A lot.

So I tweeted !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a shop based out of Pfafftown, NC, and said I was going to come visit. And I wasn't disappointed. Most speed shops have a specialty, and end up focusing on a specific make or model. What I immediately noticed upon arriving at Sneed was the eclectic mix of projects, import and domestic, old and new. Easily visible from the parking lot were Mustangs, BMWs, Mini Coopers, Corvettes and other random cars in various stages of modification. Chris Sneed told me that they just focus on fast cars. Pretty much the RFD philosophy.

Inside, the magic continued with a multi-room shop laid out with a various projects being worked in each area. Sneed develops their own parts which are not only dyno tested, but aero tested in a freakin wind tunnel! That's obsessive, I love it. I could have spent hours in this place, special thanks to Chris for showing me around. Here are some highlights.

I know, such a cool car. Very eclectic mix of cars, the drift Nissan was being worked on right next to this one.
